The incidents that happen thereafter form a major part of the plot. Though most of these plots are dramatized heavily to add emphasis, they can be related to easily and are extremely enjoyable. Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt portray a young couple in this story. They meet in college and eventually fall in love. The problem arises because of they are from Delhi and Chennai respectively. Despite their cultural differences, Arjun decides to woo her parents by moving from Delhi to Chennai.

Wake Up Sid

The movie revolves around Ranbir Kapoor, who plays the role of a spoilt, rich brat. He moves out from his home and learns the importance of self-dependence. All this happens after he meets Konkana Sen, who has recently moved from Kolkata to Mumbai.

Dostana

This tale shows bachelors Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham, who pretend to be a couple for moving in a desirable apartment. Hilarity ensues when they end up falling for their landlord’s daughter but must maintain their cover.

City Lights

This remake of a BAFTA winning movie is a sobering drama. It depicts a poor family who decide to move to Mumbai for a better life. Their disillusionment and what difficulties they face thereafter makes the story poignant.

Dedh Ishqiya

A hilarious, rustic comedy about conmen relatives Arshad Warsi and Nasiruddin Shah. They plan on moving in to an old town to rob a rich widow. Tables turn on them when other interested parties and the target herself decides to rob them.

Delhi 6

Abhishek Bachchan is forced to move to Delhi and try to blend into a completely different life. Unaccustomed to the community culture, his understanding of the human nature is thoroughly shaken. The people around him mold him into a different and better person.

A life-changing move to a different place brings out the undercurrent emotions to the surface openly. These movies beautifully depict this fact with the stories they tell – funny or sad.
