Tips to pack pictures and paintings for moving
Once you have obtained the required materials for packaging pictures and paintings for moving. You can start to secure your items in the shipping frames. Follow the logical and sequential steps for packaging photos for removal:
Take a large sheet of soft wrapping paper; put it on the floor or a suitable table large enough to fit even the largest picture of the cage or picture you want to wrap.
Then place the framed photo directly in the middle of this sheet, face down and wrap it exactly as you would surround a gift for an expensive person. If necessary, use several additional sheets to completely cover the entire frame.
Use as much packing tape as you need to protect the edges so that the framed artwork is as tight as possible. Do not waste valuable time trying to make the whole package look nice and presentable. Security, not presentation, should be your main goal.
The next step is to put a well-protected pictures and paintings for moving in the frame over the already compressed side of the first section of the graphics frame and press it against the paper pads.
Add more wrinkled paper to wrap along the sides and edges of the package. If there is enough space, you can pack more than one photo, photo or image inside one box, but do not forget to keep individual frames well separated from each other using wrapping paper and / or bubble wrap.
Place the second part of the picture frame on the frame and match it to the first part of the cardboard. Push firmly but carefully both parts of the box together so that the packed frame has no place to move.
Use the ribbon roll on the top and bottom of the customized picture box so that the two separate sections are always together.
After closing the box, take a marker and mark it on both sides. Highlight what exactly is packed inside, the destination and the obligatory FRAGILE label, as a thoughtful reminder for anyone who deals with a delicate package at a given moment. If you want, you can even write a user manual using the red marker to draw the attention of users to the delicate nature of the shipment.
Repeat the above steps until all the framed pictures and paintings for moving are safely packed for removal.
If you pack pictures and paintings for moving covered with a protective glass layer, use packing tape to make a large X along the glass surface. In this way, if the glass accidentally breaks during transport, the tape will keep pieces of glass from spilling inside the package, thereby damaging the frames or even deteriorating – ruining a valuable image, picture or picture.
Tips: It’s always advised to hire professional packers and movers for your precious pictures & painting to safe relocation.
